This day will start at 12:15 with a walking tour of the caves that will last approximately 30 minutes where we will learn about the historical details of how the cave were built and their uses from 1868 through today. Learn how these caves were created as a brewery in the late 1800’s, why the brewery shut down, and are the bootlegging rumors true.
For an additional $13.00 there will be an optional 45 minute Trolley tour of historical Stillwater. The Trolley is a short block away, and will drop us off at the Lift Bridge Brewery.
We will then all reconvene at 2:00pm for a private brewery tour where immediately upon entering the doors of the taproom and you’ll sense that things are a little different here. Bustling city life is left behind for something more authentic, and that starts with the beer. Served directly from the source, selections goes beyond a regular line up and includes limited release and experimental beers. You will learn a little history of the beer, process of brewing, and proper beer tasting techniques.
